Fair State Brewing is renowned craft brewery, a trailblazer specializing in uber-clean traditional lagers, hazy IPAs, sours and wild innovations. More importantly, they're stewards of community and craft, creating an infinite connection between beer and people. Starting out as a cooperative, the brewery has shifted business models and pivoted under new ownership. It was an honor to re-imagine the Fair State brand for this next chapter. Along with my frequent co-conspirator, Matt Erickson, we redesigned the identity system and product portfolio to send a strong message on shelf of craft, connection, and brewing the People's Beer.

Fair State Brewing began in Minneapolis in 2014 with a simple idea: beer tastes better when it brings people together. The brewery has had a cult-like following for many years, so it was very important for us to bring forward the core foundation that made Fair State a local staple.
